Personality: Confident and energetic, she has a brash fearlessness which prompts her to scour Carrington at every opportunity, searching for misdeeds to investigate. She is a strong athlete, particularly in long distance running, and is good at solving problems and puzzles. Determined to the point of stubbornness, she doesn’t like being told that she’s wrong, and once she has an idea in her head there’s no shifting it. Her single mindedness and impatience are always getting her into trouble. Yet she is fiercely loyal to her friends and develops intense and deep relationships with them. She is sympathetic to the problems of other people, and often feels guilty when her carelessness gets her friends into trouble.

Background: Sara comes from a long line of young lady detectives, including her mum and grandma and dating right back to her Great, Great, Great Aunt Phyllis. It was inevitable that Sara would be keen to follow in their footsteps, especially considering how her dad is Carrington’s Detective Inspector. She started small, investigating petty thefts and crimes, but as she continued she uncovered a thriving web of criminality right at the heart of Carrington. She has aided in the arrests of several notorious criminals, giving her a reputation both in the media and within the crime community. Because of her family’s past she is often the target of gangs, none more so than the Nortons, an old crime family believed to have been dismantled by her parents, but now regrouping under the leadership of young Emerald Norton. Yet her biggest threat comes from the masked criminal mastermind Mr White, a man whose identity is a secret yet who is obsessed with ending Sara’s detective career. None of this has weakened Sara’s resolve and determination to be a girl detective, and she and her fellow CGDA members continue to investigate any strange goings on in Carrington they come across, before posting their adventures on their blog for the world to read.
